This workshop intends to show how Qiang generates dynamic landscape painting using reference photos. Qiang will demonstrate his painterly style painting in the studio situation. He will introduce his ideas on how to select photo references to be suitable for painting and using computer tools to enhance the photos. He will go through fundamental skills of drawing by covering perspectives, proportional measuring, and compositional principles. Qiang has generated computer apps to guide students on mixing colors and making the painting process easier. In simply English, Qiang will describe color theory and how to use computers for painting. This workshop is designed for all levels.

Qiang Huang's Bio:

Qiang Huang (pronounced as Chong Wong) has studied art from multiple master artists. His paintings show remarkable accuracy and expressive brush strokes. He has participated Plein Air competitions and won awards. Since 2004 his paintings have been selected continuously for the Oil Painters of America's National Juried Exhibitions. Qiang's art has been featured in multiple art magazines. He has demonstrated landscape painting in Plein Air Conventions two times. Qiang lives at Cedar Park Texas near Austin.

If you find out you cannot attend the workshop, please notify us at least 30 days prior to the workshop. You will receive a full refund. If you notify us less than 30 days before the workshop, only 50% the tuition can be refunded. After the workshop starts no tuition can be refunded.
